Using Accentis Enterprise Reports
Overview
Accentis Enterprise is powerful because of the strong reporting and analysis you can perform on your data. On average, each Accentis Enterprise implementation will have access to over 800 reports with more than 3500 different combinations. That's a lot of data to organise!
In this guide, you will learn some tricks to get you using Accentis Enterprise reports as a power user.
Some things to be aware of:
- Reports are controlled by permissions, and as such, you may not have access to a report based on the permissions set in your database
- Accentis Enterprise supports custom reports for each business. Custom reports are not documented publicly.
In this topic you will learn about:
- Report short-codes
- How to run an Accentis Enterprise report
- Report lists
- Customised reports
- Tips for using reports
Report short-codes
In Accentis Enterprise, reports are categorised into their respective module, and then again categorised further if required. Each report will also be designated by a prefix, to help you understand what the report data may show. Each time you open an Accentis Enterprise report, the short-code is displayed in the top-right corner of the form.
The following prefixes are used to create short-codes:
- S = Shared report (to all databases)
- L = Local report (to a database)
- A = Accentis Enterprise report
- C = Customised report
It's possible that some of these prefixes can be combined:
- SA = Shared Accentis Enterprise report
- SC = Shared Customised report
- LC = Local Customised report
Some report examples are SA42771, SC100235, LC14, etc
How to run an Accentis Enterprise report
You can access reports in a couple of ways:
In order to use a report short-code, you need to know the code. For information on short-codes, read Report short-codes.
By using the default keyboard shortcut CTRL SHIFT R, you open the Run Accentis Enterprise report menu. If your administrator has changed this keyboard shortcut, you will need to find out what it is to use this facility.
Enter the report short-code into this field and press Run.
Report lists
There are two report lists you can use to see all the reports available in Accentis Enterprise. Both of these lists are accessible by Entering a report short-code.
To view all the reports in a system, run:
- SA3950 = Detailed list of Accentis Enterprise reports
- SA3956 = Detailed list of Crystal reports
Customised reports
Each business is unique and because of that, many require customised reports to view their data how they need it. This helps a business to better understand their operation and apply changes to make it more efficient and profitable.
Customised reports can consist of
- Changes to your business logo on Quotations, Sales Invoices and more
- Complicated information displayed in an easy to use manner
- Combinations of report data as a single report
- Plus thousands of other uses

Tips for using reports
- If you frequently use the same filters when running reports, you can save them by clicking the Accentis logo on the top left of the report window and selecting Save this report layout (columns, size and filters) for next time.
- If you opened the report from the toolbar, the layout and filters will be saved to that specific button - meaning you can have multiple of the same report on your toolbar with different preset filters depending on what you need to see.
- If you want to save the report window size and position without saving the filters, hold shift and click the X at the top right of the report. This will close the window and save the layout - just like it would with a form.
